COACHING APPLICATION FORM

Some coaching information:

Coaches must be 15 years of age or older.

Any coach under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times (the guardian’s information must be listed on the application form).

A Coach's child will automatically be placed on their team and the coach will also receive one additional player request. If the coach has an assistant coach, their child will count as the additional player request. No formal soccer or coaching experience is necessary to volunteer in the U6 and U8 Grass Roots League Program. MSB staff will be available to assist you with any of your coaching requirements throughout the season.

Volunteers must be:

• Committed
• Passionate
• Strong communicators
• Enthusiastic
• Friendly/welcoming

Parents interested in head coaching teams should submit an online application to MSB United Soccer Club. The purpose of the process is to pick the best qualified candidate each year for the teams that have been selected. The “Coach Application” is simply a process of collecting information on qualified coaches including coaching/playing experience, coach training and coaching licenses (Canada Soccer: Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train). In addition, parent feedback will be incorporated.

After the teams have been selected, MSB will have a committee that will make decisions on coaches for the teams. The committee will consist of MSB Board members. The Club management will do their best to ensure the process is impartial and as fair as possible. Coach decisions will be made shortly thereafter and will be announced as part of team announcements.

All players U11-U19 and Coaches U9-U19 are required to have a CMSA ID Card. These can be obtained thru CMSA and are valid for 4 years (players) or 3 years (coaches).
